About Craftmanship
This handbag features authentic Shuanglin Lingjuan, a national-level intangible cultural heritage of China and a treasure of traditional Chinese silk craftsmanship, produced in Huzhou, Zhejiang. With a history spanning millennia, Lingjuan silk is celebrated for being "as thin as cicada wings, as light as morning fog", renowned for its delicate texture, luminous sheen and exceptional softness. The "Ling" refers to patterned silk damask, while "Juan" refers to plain silk fabric — both have been prized since ancient times for painting, calligraphy mounting and luxury apparel.
This collection is created in partnership with Master Zheng Xiaohua, the national-level inheritor of Shuanglin Lingjuan weaving and director of Huzhou Shuanglin Lingjuan Factory, whose team produced the certificate mounting fabrics for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Dancing Butterfly Orchid design reinterprets traditional aesthetics: the ice-crack plum blossom damask base carries quiet, enduring elegance, while the embroidered butterfly orchids with hand-set pearl beads add light, lyrical movement.
